The inspiration for the Imaatu collection are Amazons, female Gladiators, and Vikings. Historically, their way of life has rarely been considered relevant in matriarchy. The example of the Viking grave in Birka, Sweden shows how little we deal with this theme of our history. The marble relief from Halicarnassus in the British Museum is a monument to the legendary battle between the Amazon and Achillia. It is one of the most important pieces of evidence for the existence of female gladiators.

With her collection, Omatu wants to focus on women and their strengths, which are often not valued or respected. Influences of the uniforms of the various heroines can be seen in small details on her creations, which were also only made by women, from the creation of the pattern to production.
